artist's statement

“My inspiration comes from uniting form and function. Since I always have had a love of vintage fabrics and embellishments, I decided to incorporate creative art with every day ladies accessories. No longer does an every day object need be boring. I look for fresh ways to create something original and functional. I bring a combination of whimsy, elegance, function and beauty to these items. Artcessories handcrafted designs are unique, original, and heartfelt. I use worldly words of wisdom to celebrate the daily pleasures and warm feelings by recognizing and thanking people who fill our every day lives with joy, meaning, and purpose. We put words to emotions where simple words aren’t enough and sell them as a gift item. These are gifts from the heart to the heart.”

Tina Wagman Bobker is a renowned designer and artist since 1971. After graduating from Tyler School of Art of Temple University in 1968, she soon began designing needlepoint canvases. After doing that for a short time, she started designing infant bedding and accessories under the name of Rainbow Artisans, Inc.. Within a year, she was selling to major New York department stores and internationally. Tina continued that until she yearned to design items for adults in the late 80’s.. At that time, she began doing Victorian pocketbooks and button jewelry incorporating her love of vintage fabrics and vintage buttons and embellishments. In 1998 that segued into the wonderful creative designs she is doing presently as a division of Rainbow Artisans; Tina Bobker’s Artcessories. This division also has been received very well, selling to over 400 stores internationally.

“Artists don’t make the decision to become artists, they are born… the hope is that they find the will to pursue their vision, an environment in which to develop, and a culture respectful of their contributions.”
